Auli is a skiing hill station famous for snow covered Himalayan peaks and large grasslands. December, January, February becomes the famous time for snow lovers, skiing enthusiast and adventure seekers. It is above 10-12 km from Joshimath, We visited there between 04-06 Jan 2019 and witnessed snowfall during our drive towards the GMVN hotel. It was a mesmerizing experience to reach Auli during snow season. GMVN hotel is on the peak and you can experience snowfall in its compound too. How to Reach Auli: You can reach there by road only as the nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 280 km from Auli. Haridwar railway station is the nearest railhead situated at a distance of 275 km. You have to drive 7-8 hours on the hills in any case.
