Summer Trip to Rishikesh/Haridwar

27th April 2012...Woke up early in the morning around 3:30AM and got ready for the Rafting Tour of Rishikesh. I and Reshu left at 4 o'clock from Noida, took breakfast on a Dhaba nearby Muzaffarnagar. We reached Haridwar by 11AM, and went to see Holi Ganages river at Har ki Puari on Friday. After driving 22 Kms, we reached Sivpuri, Rishikesh where Guide took us to the Rafting camp. It was the golden moment of my life when we saw river Ganga so closely. We sat on thr stones around the river and started to play with the water. Water was so cold that it took all of the tiredness we had during the journey. In the evening, we left for Jungle Trekking to see the fountain. It was on the vertical height of 1.5 Kms. On returning from trekking, we all sat for chitchat around the bonfire on the bank of Ganga river. Night on river bank was an unforgettable moment, we were walking through the sand and the night was looking gorgeous with full moon. We slept in the camps.

Next morning, we played volleyball and enjoyed a lot before having breakfast. Then it was the time for the magical adventure - Whate water river rafting. Guide Deepak told us how to respond to his commands when we would face rapids and how to react too the situation. We all 6 were sitting in the blue rafting boat. I(Rahul) and Ravi were leading it  and two guides were sitting on the back seat. First rapid was amazing, we all enjoyed that. Our boat was sailing and when we met another rapids - Golf Coarse and others, it was the most adventurous act of our life. We all were trying hard to get out of the rapid as early as possible and high tides were hitting my face directly. AWESOME...can be the only word here. We finally comoleted all rapids of our journey and reached Neam Beach around 2PM on Saturday. Then we left for Neelkanth - holy temple of Mahadev. On return, we came to Haridwar at night.

Next Day, we took breakfast nearby Chetanjyoti Ashram Haridwar and left to visit temples for Chandi Devi, Anjani Mata and Mansa Devi. There was heavy rush and we could visit temples by 4PM on Sunday. We reached to Har ki Pauri immediately, took holi bath and participates in the Ganga-aarti. We can't forget these three days of Rishikesh tour.
